Berkeley Coachworks Expands into Northern Ireland with Acquisition of Moy Composites Facility
Berkeley Coachworks has completed the acquisition of a composites facility in Moy, County Tyrone, safeguarding jobs, reviving operations, and creating a new home for Berkeley Composites.
We are proud to announce the expansion of our UK manufacturing footprint with the acquisition of the composites facility in Moy, Northern Ireland. This site, which had recently entered administration, will now be revitalised as Berkeley Composites – our dedicated centre for lightweight panel production, CNC machining, moulding, and tooling.
Unlike a simple asset purchase, this acquisition is about protecting livelihoods and backing the future of British manufacturing. The skilled Moy team and full production capabilities will be retained, ensuring continuity while opening the door to growth and innovation.
With Berkeley Composites, we are laying the foundation for the next stage of our journey:
Jobs protected and created in Moy, County Tyrone
Full manufacturing capability retained
Lightweight panel production for trailers, performance cars, and composites supply chains
Production restarting in Q4 2025 – the order book is now open
“This deal is not just about machinery. It’s about people, expertise, and belief. The future of British manufacturing and innovation is regional, fast, and purpose-led – and Berkeley is proud to be part of that story.” - Martin Rees, Chairman, BRKLY Global
This move strengthens our ability to scale across trailers, automotive composites, and sustainable lightweight technologies, while anchoring Berkeley Composites as a key player in Northern Ireland’s manufacturing landscape.
